Yes, we are still in the waiting stage of our adoption. But, due to a misunderstanding, our home study wasn't updated and so therefore our fingerprints were not updated. We are still on the list and moving up the list but since our documents have expired if a child became available right now we wouldn't be eligible to adopt them. At first we were really upset that this had happened but after hearing from our case worker that everything was still ok, we think this is best until closer to time. The estimated wait time is 3-4 years from our DTE (Dossier to Ethiopia) which is 3/22/13, so we still have a while to wait and this will also save money to pay for other documents when the time comes. :)
We are excited to announce we are having our first 2015 Adoption Fundraiser coming up this Saturday, August 8th!! We are excited to see what God has planned for it. A friend of ours is letting us use her yard since she lives in town where more people are likely to see it. As always, our friends have been so generous in donating items for us to sell, we really wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for all their love and support.
