In the last post I shared that we had a family in mind that we were going to donate the money to. Well, our blog was shared on facebook and a sweet couple in TN, Lee and Herschel French, who had just begun the adoption process read our blog. Thankfully, Lee contacted a friend of mine and asked if we would consider their family to donate the money to. They had been diagnosed with infertility which really hit home with us so we were immediately drawn to them. Meanwhile, the original family we planned on donating to decided they are going to wait and said they'd be ok with us donating to the couple in TN. We prayed about it and donated our funds to help Lee & Herschel bring home their baby.
We weren't able to donate nearly as much money from our adoption fund as we wanted. Over $12,000 had to be given back to grants and large amount donors who requested their money back. We are grateful to each person who donated to us and the opportunity to have a small part in helping bring home baby French.
